For over a decade, United Endoscopy has
been providing Arthroscopy Equipment to hospitals and medical practices around the world
with state-of-the-art medical equipment and scopes for surgical
procedures.
What is Arthroscopy
Arthroscopy is a procedure orthopedic surgeons use
to visualize, diagnose and treat problems inside a joint. For
an arthroscopic procedure, the orthopedic surgeon makes a small
incision in the patient's skin and then inserts an arthroscope,
a pencil-sized instrument which contains a small lens and lighting
system to magnify and illuminate the structures inside the joint.
During the surgery, light is transmitted through fiber optics
to the end of the instrument. The arthroscope is connected to
a miniature television camera, allowing the surgeon to see the
interior of the joint without needing to make a large incision
for surgery. Arthroscopy surgery can help treat ACL and meniscal
injuries, rotator cuff disorders, carpal tunnel syndrome, joint
replacement and cartilage grafting.
